After many years of blocking out some major events of the past, like “oh yeah, I was adopted!” I have finally come to a point in life where I want need to learn about who I am and where I’m from. It has become essential in order to feel at peace, given all of the recent inner conflict that has occurred.

My hope is that this blog will document the journey to uncover those precious, sacred details that were locked away and abandoned over a quarter of a century ago.

  1. Awww, you joined the bloggy world just as I’m leaving. 😦 Regardless, I’ll bookmark your site to learn more about your journey. 🙂

  2. It’s rare when I enjoy reading an adoptee blog, but I have enjoyed the tone of your voice and the way in which you process your journey. It’s a nice blend of literature & documentary.

I just wanted to pop my head in and tell you that not reuniting is not the end of the world, and that the process of writing was/is not only a great comfort, but eventually brought me peace as well. So keep going. You’ve got the right posture…

  3. Do you have an e-mail address by any chance? I wrote something on another blog (don’t want to spam it all over one of your posts in a comment) that you might be interested in. I don’t want to link to it because it’s not an adoption blog, but I thought I’d offer a post of post-reunion reflections…
